POSITION OBJECTIVE/RESPONSIBILITIES

The Targets Senior Quality Manager position leads the ESM Targets Quality Team, overseeing three manufacturing sites, tollers, and distribution warehouses. This role also oversees the Quality function at the Spokane, WA manufacturing site. The Senior Quality Manager ensures compliance with internal and customer specifications, Solstice policies, and ISO9000 and IATF16949 Quality Management Systems. The ideal candidate is proficient in Quality and Lean Six Sigma tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and deploy an effective Quality program in the Spokane, WA facility focusing on improved internal and external Quality.
  • Ensure products meet all Customer, Solstice, and regulatory requirements for materials manufactured at this facility.
  • Manage, improve, and expand the Quality Management Systems internally and externally with key suppliers/tollers/distribution warehouses.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop personnel assigned to the Targets Quality & OpEx Organization.
  • Work with and support colleagues across all functions within Solstice.
  • Develop and execute measurement systems in alignment with industry expectations.
  • Deploy an effective audit plan for sites, tollers/suppliers, and distribution warehouses, where applicable.
  • Drive Customer Corrective actions via the 8D tool, and close open customer cases as per agreed time schedules.
  • Facilitate improvements in First Pass Quality, COPQ, and other relevant program metrics.
  • Ensure sites effectively act on internal and external quality defects. Facilitate problem solving projects using LSS tools when needed.
  • Improve quality management and data collection systems, maintaining consistency within the business group, and in compliance with Solstice requirements.
  • Drive the use of quality tools such as SPC, SQC, and other relevant proactive tools to maintain process control.
  • Manage continuous improvements via Kaizen Events, Six Sigma Projects, Quality Improvement Teams, ensuring systematic actions are taken in the form of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.
  • Act as an organizational leader championing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Management.
  • Participate in Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Strategic Plan (STRAP), Monthly Operating Review (MOR), Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings.
  • Support management resource reviews for the LOB Quality function.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or a similar technical field.
  • 10+ years of Quality Management Experience in Manufacturing Environments, including managing Customer and Supplier/Toller relationships.
  • Experience in site Quality management and registration-based internal, external auditing.
  • Experience deploying, sustaining, and improving ISO9001 and IATF16949-based systems.
  • Skills to develop and deploy systems in alignment with new or updated QMS standards.
  • Proven skills as capable people leader.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • We value Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Expert certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills as a team player, driving value-added results, and establishing credibility with Customers, Suppliers, and Solstice personnel.
  • Experience in an International/Global company preferred.

PAY

The annual base salary range for this position is $143,141-$178,927. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education, and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations. This position is incentive plan eligible.
