Sr. Purchasing Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals to reduce costs and minimize supply risk.
• Reduce maverick buying and help create a Best Practice Purchase to Pay Process
• Source materials and services.
• Assign suppliers, negotiate terms, and evaluate competitive bids through cost analysis and TCO evaluation
• Manage procurement budgets, and create and track savings results vs target KPIs
• Create purchase orders and negotiate contracts and agreements
• Align with global purchasing and finance to challenge existing indirect purchasing patterns and proactively seek opportunities to reduce costs from key suppliers while maintaining or improving quality and service levels
• Ensure purchasing compliance with company policies and legal regulations
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce supply risk
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reports

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years’ procurement experience
• Strong critical thinking, business process, and communication skills
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
• Proven competence in procurement software and Microsoft Office
• Experience negotiating contracts and supply agreements

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification such as CPSM or CPP
• Proficient in SAP Materials Management
• Background in consumer products import and distribution
