Sr. Proposal Volume Lead/Writer

Job Summary

ID Nightwing is seeking an experienced Proposal Volume Lead/Writer to support cleared proposals in Dulles, VA.

About the Role

Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration and intelligence mission support services to meet our customers’ most demanding challenges. Our capabilities include cyber space operations, cyber defense and resiliency, vulnerability research, ubiquitous technical surveillance, data intelligence, lifecycle mission enablement, and software modernization.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections
• Translate technical and other ideas into understandable text
• Rewrite and review proposal sections and related proposal documents
• Work with internal teams to gather information and translate the information into compliant technical responses
• Convey strategy in concise and compelling narrative text
• Research, write, and organize information in a professional and credible manner
• Attend meetings with stakeholders to translate requirements into proposals
• Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines
• Maintain consistency by following company policies
• Work with the design team to create compelling visuals
• Give presentations in gates and other proposal milestones
• Edit and proofread proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
• Develop and maintain proposal templates and guidelines

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field
• 5+ years of previous proposal writing experience
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Suite
• Excellent computer and organizational skills
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
