About the role

As the Senior Project Manager - Operations, you will be responsible for the success of large strategic projects. You may also provide management for a small program, planning, coordinating, and delivering cross-functional operations-focused projects across the organization in alignment with enterprise delivery standards and governance. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope, while effectively utilizing organizational resources. The position reports to the Operations PMO leader and is part of the Operations department, located onsite in Coralville, IA; Fargo, ND; Boulder, CO; San Diego, CA; Raleigh, NC; or Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage global operations projects across multiple functions, driving process improvements, operational efficiency, and scalable business solutions.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, dependencies, risks, and resource needs.
  • Ensure projects follow defined delivery methodologies, standards, and governance processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective execution and issue resolution.
  • Track and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as appropriate through governance channels.
  • Provide clear and timely project status reporting, including milestones, risks, and delivery health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Project management or Danaher Business System (DBS) certification (e.g., visual project management, problem-solving, daily management).
  • Minimum of five years of project management experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge and experience using project management methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading process improvement, operational change, continuous improvement, and manufacturing initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying project management methodologies, including traditional, agile, or hybrid approaches.
  • Proven ability to influence, motivate, drive collaboration, and assess performance across project teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with various levels in the organization.

Pay

The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 to $105,000. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement, allowing you to work remotely from your home. Additional details about this arrangement will be provided during the interview process.
