About the role

Skechers USA’s Information Technology group is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for Infrastructure & Operations to oversee technology projects within the IT group. This role focuses on managing the infrastructure and operations project portfolio, including retail store technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure consistency with Skechers USA technology standards and processes, driving the delivery of reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise and store-level infrastructure solutions that support Skechers' global retail footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute project plans, including staffing, responsibilities, and scheduling.
  • Partner with I&O and Retail Technology teams to define roles, expectations, and ensure timely feedback.
  • Ensure effective use of project resources across corporate and store-level initiatives.
  • Create and manage project documentation, including risk mitigation plans, communication plans, resource requirements, and project costs.
  • Develop and review estimates for project schedules, effort, and cost using established models and best practices.
  • Manage all project phases: requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment, including new store openings, refreshes, and technology rollouts.
  • Prioritize the portfolio of projects with I&O domain leadership to support strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Coordinate project activities with business owners, stakeholders, technical infrastructure, and application teams.
  • Communicate project risks, status updates, and strategic impacts to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with network, systems, cloud, security, store operations, and field technology teams to document requirements, process flows, and technical dependencies.
  • Manage infrastructure projects related to in-store network connectivity, POS hardware lifecycle, store Wi-Fi, loss prevention systems, digital signage, and other store-based technologies.
  • Review and manage changes to requirements through a formally defined scope change process.
  • Monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed expectations.
  • Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk in a high-volume, multi-location retail environment.
  • Support store opening and closure processes from an infrastructure and technology readiness perspective.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience also accepted.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager, with at least 10 years of overall work experience; retail or multi-site environment experience strongly preferred.
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Project, Atlassian, Smartsheet, or other project management tools (e.g., Clarity, ServiceNow PPM).
  • Experience with Agile and hybrid methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
  • PMP certification required; ITIL Foundation and CSM certifications preferred.

Skills

  • Experience with retail infrastructure and operational needs, including store network infrastructure, in-store technology deployments, and corporate data center operations.
  • Experience with retail store technologies such as Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware, in-store Wi-Fi, networking, and loss prevention systems.
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies (AWS, VMware, SD-WAN, Active Directory, endpoint management) in a multi-site retail context.
  • Familiarity with new store opening (NSO) processes and coordination of infrastructure readiness across construction, facilities, and IT teams.
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks and tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and IT operations processes (incident, change, problem management).
  • Proven ability to execute high-profile, multi-million-dollar infrastructure and retail technology projects.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communications (verbal and written), presentation, financial management, analytical, and customer-focused skills.
  • Experience managing projects with onshore, offshore, field-based, and third-party installation teams.
  • Proven track record working with technical and functional teams, including store operations and retail field teams.
  • Ability to document and communicate progress, take corrective action, and review deliverables for completeness and quality.
  • Expertise in managing vendor relationships, including telecom providers, hardware vendors, and field service partners.
  • Experience with formal SDLC, ITIL, and infrastructure delivery methodologies in a retail context.
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical resources and align with strategic direction from management.
  • "Can-do" attitude with the ability to see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $100,000–$150,000 per year (USD).
