About the role
Gartner is seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in Agile/Scrum environments to lead project management of key initiatives for Gartner’s customer-facing websites, mobile apps, and vendor integrations. Key responsibilities include project leadership, managing multiple projects, facilitating discussions, and ensuring project deliverables meet business needs.
What you’ll do
- Ensure effective implementation of Agile/Scrum processes and provide coaching to maximize benefits.
- Manage multiple projects using Agile Scrum methodologies, coordinating with various teams and third-party vendors.
- Facilitate discussions to resolve project issues and development impediments.
- Report project progress to management and executive stakeholders.
- Coordinate release management, including planning, impact assessment, change management, and communication.
- Champion and facilitate adoption of agile standards, tools, and best practices.
- Identify and address areas of opportunity for continuous improvement.
- Communicate with leaders across the organization to ensure transparency into delivery progress, challenges, and risks.
- Coach the team to improve collaboration and self-management.
- Balance new feature development with technical debt reduction through strategic planning and prioritization.
- Contribute to and help evolve Project Management standards, templates, and methodologies.
- Create sophisticated risk management frameworks for complex projects, including contingency planning and quantitative risk analysis.
- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between technical and business resources.
- Show strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to address competing priorities and resource constraints.
- Track post-implementation metrics to validate that projects deliver intended business benefits and ROI.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners, balancing technical feasibility with business needs.
- Negotiate and manage complex vendor relationships, ensuring deliverables meet specifications and contractual obligations.
What you’ll need
- 5-8 years of experience working in an Agile Scrum environment as Project Manager.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Deep working knowledge and understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology and incremental delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps Practices.
- Ability to drive team collaboration and foster a high-performing Agile culture.
- Strong facilitation skills in running scrum ceremonies such as leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Excellent people and project management skills.
- Guide and coach the Scrum team on Agile principles and best practices.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification (preferred).
- Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and reporting tools like Power BI.
- Nice to have: Preferred experience with CI practices/tools and Open-Source Frameworks; preferred experience with JIRA, Confluence, etc.; effective influencing and negotiating skills; strong knowledge and understanding of business needs; Project Management and/or Agile Certifications.

- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced Agile-SCRUM environment.
