About Us
An established, employee-owned heavy civil contractor is expanding its Texas operations and is adding a Senior Project Manager to support multiple large, complex infrastructure projects. This is a growth-driven role, not a backfill—with long-term backlog and visibility into upcoming work.
This role is ideal for a Senior PM who wants:
- Project scale without chaos
- Stability without stagnation
- Leadership without corporate bureaucracy
Why Join Us?
- Ownership and long-term wealth-building opportunity
- Strong healthcare and benefits
- Real project scale and backlog
- Improved work-life balance compared to many large civil contractors
- Texas-focused work with realistic travel expectations
The Work
- Large-scale, multi-scope, civil infrastructure projects
- High percentage of self-performed work
- Long-duration, technically complex projects (not short-cycle maintenance)
Senior PMs are primarily office-based in a field environment, focused on leadership, execution, and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of major projects from early phases through execution
- Leadership of PMs, Superintendents, and project teams
- Direct interaction with owners, engineers, and internal leadership
- Strategic problem-solving rather than constant fire-drills
- Ability to influence how work is executed—not just react to it
Qualifications
Backgrounds that translate well:
- Heavy civil, pipeline, plant, or infrastructure construction experience
- Experience on large-dollar projects where planning and leadership matter
- Candidates from pipeline, plant, heavy highway, or complex civil environments are all considered
Technical gaps can be taught—judgment, leadership, and communication cannot.
Pay
$150,000 - $170,000 per year
