Sr. Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing the design, development, and construction of projects for a client account. They interact with multiple stakeholder teams including client, facility management, transactions, occupancy planning, general contractors, and client vendors. They oversee contracts, coordinate services, and monitor master contractor agreements for tenant improvement and facilities projects.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and lead project meetings, prepare agendas, and develop and maintain master project budgets and timelines.
  • Write and distribute meeting minutes for all project meetings, documenting important decisions and tasks assigned.
  • Assist in the selection and contracting process for consultants and construction teams as necessary.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise them as needed to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Successfully initiate, plan, execute, and close all project deliverables as committed.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, ensuring coordination of schedules among various constituencies.
  • Prepare, publish, and communicate project status, including input into designated tracking systems.
  • Facilitate dispute resolution and ensure project definition documents are prepared and maintained.
  • Create written scopes of work (SOWs) for request for proposal (RFP) and contracts for general contractors, design consultants, and other relevant vendors.
  • Issue and manage Request for Proposal (RFP) bid documents and process, perform bid leveling and bidder interviews, make bid award recommendations, issue contracts and purchase orders, and manage budget transfers and SOVs in the accounting system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields such as Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred.
  • Seven to ten years of directly related project management and/or construction experience.
  • Hands-on experience with tenant improvement construction projects and ability to read and understand construction specifications and drawings preferred.
  • Proven leadership ability, administrative skills, technical background, and project responsibility experience preferred.
  • Highly organized and skilled with time management; superior oral and written communication skills required.
  • Willing/able to travel up to 35% of the time.

Skills

  • Microsoft Project scheduling program.
  • Microsoft Excel program.

Pay

$144,755.00 - $170,300.00

Schedule

Travel must be able to travel up to 35% of the time.
