Sr Project Manager
About the role
The Senior Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive strategic, regulatory, operational, and client/colleague experience outcomes across Private Bank and Private Wealth. This role partners with business leaders in Private Bank & Private Wealth as well as across the CFG organization, technology, risk and operations to deliver projects that enhance client experience, improve internal capabilities, strengthen risk management, and support the business growth strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex projects across business, operations, and risk functions.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and measurable outcomes aligned with business goals.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and project financials.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies.
- Convert strategic objectives into clear, actionable plans with defined milestones, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Establish alignment on scope, roles, and accountability across stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end execution initiative project planning, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and to defined quality expectations. Maintain rigorous control over plans, risks to delivery, issues, and dependencies.
- Create and support project documentation, reporting, and compliance with governance standards.
- Apply consistent project management practices across initiatives.
- Cook up with stakeholders, clients, and senior management to ensure project goals are met and expectations are aligned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, risk, or related field.
- 5–10+ years of project management experience, preferably within banking, wealth management, or financial services.
- Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional projects involving business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Experience managing project budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Six Sigma or Scrum certification.
- Experience with banking platforms, or financial technology initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting financial institutions.
- Experience supporting client experience, banker experience, or operational transformation initiatives.
- Proficiency in project management software, Gantt charts, and portfolio management tool.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $123,000 - $159,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
Schedule
Hrs per week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
