Sr. Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe jobsite at all times
• Support quality control across all project scopes
• Ensure crews have materials, equipment, and survey ready prior to mobilization
• Track production through timecards and quantity reporting
• Perform quantity takeoffs and verify field measurements
• Aid with budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting
• Support Request for Information (RFI), submittals, payment applications, and change orders
• Cookordination with inspectors, subcontractors, and owner representatives
• Lead meetings and provide project updates
• Mentor junior engineers and field staff
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/DOT standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 3–7+ years of heavy civil construction experience
• Experience with roadway, bridge, grading, or utility projects
• Knowledge of DOT specifications and safety standards
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam, or Primavera (preferred)
• EIT or working towards PE (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license required
