Sr. Project Engineer
About the role
Miyamoto International is seeking a **Sr. Project Engineer** to be based out of our **Orange County** office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of structural and earthquake engineering design experience, advanced structural analysis and design skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree in Structure Engineering preferred. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, while a Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects from conception through completion
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Conduct structural analyses and design in various building materials
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Collaborate with clients and other professionals to ensure project success
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards and technologies
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Architectural or Civil engineering or related field, Masters with emphasis on structure engineering preferred
- 5+ years of structural and earthquake engineering design experience
- Advanced structural analysis and design skills in all common building materials
- Exposure to project management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) preferred
