Job Description The Project Accountant, Senior is responsible for leading proper billing, revenue and reconciliation duties for the projects under their purview. This role must have a deep understanding of accounting rules, GAAP revenue recognition guidelines, and One10’s workflow. This role will work closely with the Client Services team and have the comfort level to direct and support the understanding of project setup up and revenue recognition. This role will be responsible for full reconciliation of projects from start to finish. Job Description Details Scope of Work Understands, applies, and supports teammates in understanding of One10 project accounting processes and practicesStrong financial review of PnL balances to propose project journal entries to manage the project’s fundsPerform month-end close activities, reviewing project working capital summaries, project Profit & Loss/Balance Sheet statements, and Percent of Completion schedulesPrepares other ad hoc reports and analysis as assignedMonitors and provides recommended improvements of the revenue accounting function through review of processes and procedures and implementation of process improvementsProvides support and recommended improvements to account management questions related to client billingContributes and provides process improvements to revenue and deferred revenue analysesPerforms other duties as assignedParticipate in cross trainingExecutes responsibilities in month-end close process, and recommends processes to improve the close cycle time Additional Job Description Details Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field5-10 years of comprehensive experience in project accountingCPA (active or inactive) preferredStrong MS Excel skills (pivots, v/h-lookups, etc.)Financial expertise in POC billing and GAAP ASC606 revenue recognitionExcellent attention to detail, accuracy and analytic problem-solving skillsStrong organization and time management skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaborativelyExperience with NetSuite preferred, as well as experience with project management applications/systemsExperience with efficient processes and the use of technology; accuracy is essentialDemonstrated ability to take ownership for projects and drive to completionTakes initiative and is resourceful when problem-solvingAbility to prioritize and manage competing requests while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlinesCapable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departmentsProactively identifies and addresses potential accounting errors/risks on an ongoing basisOwn project financials through close-out and month-end close processes -- high level of ownership, accuracy and accountability is a must!Effectively works with people, creating teamwork, taking charge, generating enthusiasmProvide an environment of openness and trust and fosters a team culture consistent with One10’s valuesStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work across departments Maximum Base Pay 80,000.00 USD
