Sr. Program Manager, Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Operational Excellence (OpEx)
Amazon Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Operational Excellence (OpEx) is seeking a Program Manager to drive continuous improvement safety projects. This role is ideal for problem solvers with skills in program management and a passion for safety excellence.

Responsibilities include scoping project plans, developing processes, coordinating execution, and communicating status, risks, and changes to senior management. Cross-team coordination, project management, and executive communication skills are essential. Some travel may be required (up to 25%).
Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.
- Set clear program goals, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.
- Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios using creative problem-solving skills.
- Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success.
- Evaluate and prioritize projects based on customer needs and technical team inputs.
- Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems to prevent common project pitfalls.
- Identify and mitigate risks to prevent them from escalating into major issues.
- Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and stakeholders to support key business initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.
- Manage and communicate project budgets effectively.
Requirements
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
- Master’s degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
- Knowledge of general AI tools.
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions.
