Job Purpose/Overview
The Sr. Program Manager, MVH is responsible for overseeing and driving the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs and projects for the Corporate Accounts sales team assigned to our Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) customers. Programs and projects are focused on those that drive revenue expansion and mutual growth with MVH partners in line with the organization’s strategic goals.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee key strategic initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational and customer goals.
- Develop and manage program plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
- Define program objectives and oversee the development and maintenance of detailed project plans.
- Cook up and manage cross-functional program and project teams.
- Designate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members and drive accountability for completion.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Act as liaison between customer, project teams, and senior leadership, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and facilitating decision-making.
- Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly.
- Facilitate meetings and presentations to update stakeholders on program progress.
- Regularly seek feedback, both on the programs/projects and personal feedback, and take action to celebrate wins and actively work on improving areas of opportunity.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program delivery.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the program lifecycle implementing mitigation strategies to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate risks and mitigations to stakeholders as needed.
- Partner with customers and program teams to establish KPIs and metrics to measure success of initiatives, monitor progress, and provide regular reports and presentations to senior leadership.
- Maintain comprehensive program documentation, including plans, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Focus on implementing plans and processes that drive repeatability and scalability.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement processes to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, STEM, or a related field required.
- 7+ years of experience in program or project management, strategic planning, or similar role preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
- 4+ years of experience in veterinary diagnostics or related field preferred but not required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
