About the role

Amazon is looking for an enthusiastic Sr. Program Manager to join the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) organization, supporting Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) training. This role offers the opportunity to revolutionize environmental training delivery worldwide. The Sr. Program Manager will support the deployment and management of environmental training programs for operations associates and leadership throughout North America.

You will work across teams to collaborate, generate buy-in, develop and execute plans, and drive the expansion and growth of global environmental training programs. This role involves devising strategies, fostering partnerships, and executing initiatives to enhance the program's reach and impact while serving as the main point of contact for stakeholders in coordinating and managing strategic, cross-functional, and business-critical programs and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall program strategy and planning for regions/business units, communicate program requirements, negotiate priorities, and define success metrics.
  • Apply project management best practices to drive plan execution, mitigate risks, and improve effectiveness to deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Continuously improve program components and mechanisms to drive results and provide program status communication, delivering clear and concise summaries to leadership teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating and managing strategic, cross-functional, and business-critical training programs and projects.
  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations to promote training program adoption.
  • Effectively communicate and manage multiple, competing priorities while coordinating work across teams.
  • Define, track, and monitor progress against success metrics and project plans.
  • Analyze and report on overall project health using key performance indicators and success metrics, and accurately report on status against program objectives.
  • Manage environmental training content development and localization.
  • Drive program implementation, impact, and retention metrics by working closely with business unit stakeholders across the globe.
  • Partner with Environmental, WHS, and Operations departments to develop and execute pilot and launch plans, drive internal communications, and oversee continuous improvement of programs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with non-tech teams.
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
  • Knowledge of global environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, or equivalent field of study.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
  • Knowledge of general AI tools.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and dive deep into details.
  • Proficiency in working with data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong program management and strategic planning skills.

Pay

  • USA, TN, Nashville: $104,100.00 - $155,400.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $115,600.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Bellevue: $115,600.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
