Sr. Program Manager
About the role
DRS RADA Technologies, a subsidiary of Leonardo DRS, is a global pioneer in AESA tactical radars and legacy avionics systems for the defense industry. We are seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager to lead multiple programs and drive execution of integrated product development teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage multiple programs to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals
- Drive execution of programs from kick-off to conclusion
- Interface, communicate, and coordinate with internal and external customers
- Formally identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks throughout the program life cycle
- Participate in bid and proposal activities, ensuring compliance with customer requirements
- Represent management at program reviews and meetings
- Prepare and participate in contract/subcontract negotiations
- Allocate and control contract budgets, regularly reporting program status to senior management
- Ensure contract requirements are executed according to regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with Contracts Administration on contract-related issues
- Manage and resolve contractual problems with customers
- Develop and implement corrective action plans when necessary
- Support and communicate the organization's mission, values, and culture
Secondary Accountabilities
- Develop and understand principles of process improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)
- May require 7+ years of relevant experience in DoD program management and/or materials management
- May require knowledge of DoD FAR procurement regulations and MRP/ERP
- May require knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly operations, bills of material, demand material planning, and the supply chain purchasing process
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or Business degree may be preferred
- Knowledge of program management tools and procedures
- Solid leadership and management skills
- Experience throughout the program lifecycle from development to sustainment
- Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting
- Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain management
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience with manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budget control
- Ability to manage aerospace/defense programs as a prime or subcontractor
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Program Management certification preferred (e.g., PMP or DAU)

Pay
The salary range for this position is ($119,940/year - $175,000). This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
