Sr. Product Portfolio Marketing Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Portfolio to own the cross-portfolio marketing infrastructure that connects Omnicell's Hospital Solutions, Outpatient Services, and Enterprise Intelligence into a commercially effective story. This individual contributor role reports to the Director of Platform, Portfolio & Center of Excellence and owns the persona architecture, portfolio positioning and messaging framework, portfolio narrative, and launch calendar that pillar PMMs build from and sales teams sell with. This is a high-craft, high-visibility role for a PMM energized by complexity and skilled at making a broad portfolio legible to buyers, sellers, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- ICP & Persona Management
- Own and maintain Omnicell's ICP definitions and buyer persona architecture, ensuring personas are grounded in market reality, commercially actionable, and consistently applied across pillar PMM work.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to validate and refine persona profiles based on win/loss data, customer interviews, and market shifts.
- Serve as the portfolio-wide resource on buyer dynamics, including health system decision-making structures, buying committees, value analysis processes, and clinical vs. economic influencer mapping.
- Portfolio Positioning & Messaging Architecture
- Develop and maintain portfolio-level positioning and messaging architecture, ensuring each pillar's messaging ladders to a coherent enterprise story without contradiction or redundancy.
- Define the cross-portfolio value proposition and narrative connective tissue between Hospital Solutions, Outpatient Services, and Enterprise Intelligence.
- Serve as the arbiter of portfolio messaging consistency across pillar PMMs, sales enablement, and customer-facing content.
- Portfolio Storytelling
- Build and maintain the enterprise portfolio story—a narrative that health system buyers can understand, act on, and share internally.
- Develop portfolio-level content assets (narratives, frameworks, one-pagers, presentations) that give Sales a consistent story across the full Omnicell portfolio.
- Translate complex, multi-solution capabilities into clear business value for executive and clinical stakeholders.
- Executive & C-Suite Narrative
- Develop the executive-level portfolio story for CPO, CFO, and CMO conversations, where breadth of vision and business outcomes matter more than product detail.
- Build and maintain assets for executive briefings, strategic account reviews, and board-level conversations.
- Partner with Sales leadership and the Sr. Director on high-stakes executive engagements where the portfolio narrative needs to be elevated or customized.
- Sales Enablement Deliverables
- Own the portfolio-level sales enablement asset library, including cross-sell playbooks, battlecards, talk tracks, objection handling guides, and ROI frameworks.
- Ensure enablement assets are current, accessible, and consistently reflect the portfolio positioning and messaging architecture.
- Partner with pillar PMMs and Sales Enablement to identify field readiness gaps and close them with targeted assets.
- Customer Evidence & ROI
- Own the portfolio-level customer evidence strategy, developing and maintaining case studies, outcome data, and ROI frameworks that demonstrate compounding portfolio value across care settings.
- Develop quantified proof points (cost savings, efficiency gains, patient safety improvements) that span multiple solutions and resonate with economic buyers.
- Partner with Customer Success and pillar PMMs to source stories and data that validate cross-portfolio value realization.
- Cross-Portfolio Value Realization
- Own cross-sell and upsell narrative frameworks, articulating how Omnicell solutions create compounding value when deployed together.
- Identify and develop cross-portfolio use cases, proof points, and customer stories that demonstrate integrated value.
- Support retention and expansion conversations with portfolio-level messaging that reinforces the Omnicell relationship.
- Product Roadmap & Launch Calendar
- Maintain the portfolio-level roadmap narrative, translating developments across all three pillars into a forward-looking market story that builds buyer confidence.
- Own the portfolio launch calendar, tracking launches across pillars, identifying sequencing dependencies, and ensuring cross-pillar launches are coordinated.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
- 5+ years in product marketing or portfolio marketing in B2B technology or healthcare.
- Demonstrated experience developing positioning, messaging frameworks, or portfolio narratives for a multi-product portfolio.
- Experience building buyer personas and ICP definitions in a complex enterprise selling environment.
- Track record developing sales enablement assets and customer evidence that influenced pipeline and revenue outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience marketing healthcare technology—pharmacy automation, clinical software, connected care, or related.
- Background supporting enterprise health system sales with cross-portfolio or platform narratives.
- Familiarity with medication management workflows across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Experience developing executive briefing materials or C-suite narratives for strategic account engagement.
- Track record developing cross-sell or upsell messaging frameworks in a multi-solution portfolio.
Skills
- Strong positioning and messaging craft—able to develop a portfolio architecture that holds at the enterprise level without flattening individual product stories.
- Demonstrated storytelling ability across multiple registers—from field sales talk tracks to C-suite narratives and executive briefing materials.
- Proven ability to develop customer evidence and ROI frameworks that quantify outcomes for economic buyers in healthcare.
- Solid ICP and persona development experience in a complex B2B enterprise selling environment.
- Ability to drive alignment across pillar PMMs and cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
- Familiarity with health system decision-making structures, buying committees, and value analysis processes (a strong plus).
Work Conditions
- Remote or hybrid.
- Up to 20% travel for team meetings, customer engagements, or industry events.
Pay
Salary range: $155,000 - $185,000 (based on relevant experience, skills, equity considerations, and candidate region).
