Sr Product Owner
About the role
McLane is seeking a strategic, execution-driven Senior Product Owner to lead Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities that power a complex digital supply chain. This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.
Responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the MDM product backlog using value-based decision frameworks.
- Partner with engineering, data governance, architecture, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Translate business needs into clear epics, features, and user stories.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Lead discovery, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track outcomes tied to data quality, efficiency, and operational impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in enterprise technology environments.
- Strong experience supporting enterprise platforms, data products, or shared services.
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery, backlog management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Able to influence without authority in a highly matrixed organization.
- Experience with MDM, ERP, supply chain, or data governance platforms preferred.
- Product or Agile certifications (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM) a plus.
Qualifications
The position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
