Alexa Voice Service is a cloud-based voice recognition platform that powers Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant. Our mission is to provide high-quality voice recognition services that enable developers to build innovative applications and experiences. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the technical product strategy for privacy across Alexa Voice Service, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of trust and privacy for our global customer base.

Key job responsibilities

• Work directly with internal and external customers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to define Alexa Voice Service service offerings via expertly crafted working backwards, business requirements documents which can easily be translated into product and engineering deliverables.
• Own privacy portfolio input metrics end-to-end — define what to measure, instrument tracking, connect product decisions to outcomes, and report trends to senior leadership.
• Partner daily with engineering, legal, and policy teams to translate complex privacy requirements into product specs.
• Navigate ambiguity across 100+ country regulatory landscapes and make trade-off decisions that directly impact millions of Alexa Voice Service customers.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
• Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
• Experience with risk management or technical product or program management ideally in a privacy, security, legal, or compliance role
