Sr. Product Manager - Tech, Viewer Experience, Prime Video Global App Experience
About the role
Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You’ll work on projects that are fast-paced, challenging, and varied, with opportunities to experiment, take risks, and collaborate with remarkable people.
You will help ensure the experience of watching content on Prime Video is delightful and consistent across devices and content types, defining a customer experience used by millions of viewers across 100s of devices in 250+ countries. This role is inherently cross-functional, working closely with science, engineering, project management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, content acquisition, and executive teams to bring products to market.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of Prime Video customers and the current viewer experiences, including running voice-of-the-customer programs to guide product decisions.
- Analyze the digital video market segments, assess the competitive landscape, and identify emerging industry trends.
- Partner with key stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and supporting metrics for a best-in-class digital video customer experience.
- Own the development of detailed product requirements documents.
- Work cross-functionally with science, engineering, design, and project management teams to deliver on the product roadmap.
- Drive projects, products, and feature launches with teams inside and outside Prime Video, including marketing, content acquisition, legal, finance, customer service, and operations.
- Develop and grow product opportunities while enhancing the customer experience.
- Weigh in on technology choices, providing opinions on trade-offs and influencing engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy.
About the team
Prime Video's Global App Experience (GAE) organization is responsible for building a simple, intuitive, fast, responsive, and personalized streaming experience for Prime Video customers worldwide across web, mobile, and living room devices. The Viewer Experience team within GAE focuses on the in-playback experience, including player controls, X-Ray, recaps, and in-playback content discovery.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience.
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies.
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
- Experience working with and influencing senior-level stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in a technical field or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
- Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods.
- Experience reviewing user research and data to build strategic and user-friendly designs.
- Familiarity with modern GenAI or LLM tools.
Pay
Base salary range: $151,200 – $204,600 USD annually (locations: Culver City, CA; Seattle, WA). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
