Sr. Product Manager - Tech, Sales Planning and Compensation

Amazon Web Services (AWS) · Dallas, TX · Yesterday
Information TechnologyFull-time

Application deadline: Jul 26, 2026

About the role

For more than 15 years, Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) has been the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud computing platform. AWS offers over 100 fully featured services to millions of active customers around the world—including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies—to power their infrastructure. Our customers work with the world’s most talented and dedicated salesforce within AWS to understand and adopt the cloud to accelerate their own growth journeys.

Join us in inventing the tools that empower those sales people to be effective advisors and partners for our customers! The Sales Planning and Compensation (SPC) team is looking for a driven, curious, and passionate inventor to dive deep into our Seller’s lives to identify key areas for investment for SPC to build globally scaled products that help them be the world's best salespeople.

In this Technical Product Management role, you will deeply understand the processes, complex systems ecosystem, and interpersonal networks that our salespeople navigate every day to do their jobs at AWS. You will identify ways to simplify, accelerate, or otherwise force multiply their effectiveness. You will leverage a deep understanding of sales and sales operations and the technologies that power them, bringing those technologies (or new tech stacks you invent) to bear at scale to solve a wide range of problems. You will understand the systems and technologies behind your product, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons for architectural decisions.

For these products, you will write press releases that imagine what we would say to customers on the release date of a new product to ensure we build the right solutions. You are a simplifier, determining when to build, improve an existing solution, or integrate features for a more cohesive end-to-end customer experience. You will ideate, incubate, and iterate on these ideas until they are ready to present to leadership for review, acceptance, and funding—and then do it all over again.

A successful candidate will have experience cutting through ambiguity and driving strategy through influencing executive leadership. We seek a self-starter who approaches complex business questions with data and curiosity, diving below the surface to identify root causes and the "so what" rather than just superficial trends.

This team is committed to equity and inclusion, valuing diversity of thought, experience, background, and perspective. We prioritize psychological safety as a core prerequisite to true innovation and top performance, striving to create an environment where every team member can bring their minds and hearts to work every day. We empower team members to establish their own work/life harmony, believing it is crucial to happiness and success. We maintain a high bar, work hard, and achieve great things through our humanity.
