About the role

The Senior Procurement Specialist will work with Procurement Leadership to ensure the procurement of goods and services required by the Agua Caliente Casinos is completed in a timely, efficient manner, and in accordance with company policy. The role involves assigned buying responsibilities based on commodity, service type, and/or department, serving as a liaison between the Procurement & Sourcing Manager, Procurement Supervisors, and the Contract/Program Administrator to assist with sourcing program implementation and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all purchases comply with established procedures and/or contractual agreements.
  • Obtain competitive bids for goods and services for off-contract purchases as defined by company/departmental policy.
  • Issue and expedite purchase orders for goods and services needed at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage and Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs.
  • Determine vendor selection based on quality, service, and price, focusing on delivering the greatest value for the company.
  • Track supplier performance, including on-time deliveries, fill rates, product specifications, and value-added alternatives.
  • Assist internal customers with product specification development.
  • Identify cost savings and process efficiency opportunities in coordination with Procurement & Sourcing Manager and Procurement Supervisors.
  • Provide timely and accurate communication to internal customers and company management.
  • Perform other job-related duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Hotel Administration, Business, or Accounting/Finance preferred.
  • Five years of procurement experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Purchasing is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand, move, and work throughout the office and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/workstation for extended periods.
  • Office environment with moderate noise levels, escalating in casino areas.
  • Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry goods weighing up to 30 pounds intermittently.
  • Sufficient dexterity to use office equipment, including computers, calculators, and multi-line telephones.

Access to sensitive areas and information is required. Purchase orders may be issued within applicable internal controls.
