The Opportunity
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and design water and wastewater systems for various industrial clients. This will include power, gas processing, new energy, and food industries.
- Supervise junior engineers in performing design work.
- Perform all aspects of conventional process design engineering analysis.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Participate in writing proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Production:
- Lead process engineering design of water and wastewater treatment and delivery systems.
- Prepares a variety of moderately complex process engineering deliverables: PFDs, Water Balances, MSDs, P&IDs, Equipment Datasheets and Specifications.
- Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
- Responsible for detailed design and procurement of water treatment systems, including construction and commissioning support.
- Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Plans and conducts independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Reviews lower level engineering work or assignments.
- Is responsible for one or more of the following: overseeing collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work; leading smaller production teams; and serving as the responsible charge for a project.
Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology:
- Serves as a technical specialist and has knowledge and skill set to provide consultation and guidance to project teams in a particular practice area.
- Designs a complete project of complex scope within an assigned practice area.
Client Focus:
- Assists with identification of key client interests and drivers on less complex projects.
- Actively seeks to understand client interests and drivers through normal client contact and through interaction and communication with project leadership.
- Provides support to business development or pursuit activities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
- Written communications, drive for results, quality driven, priority setting, planning, delegation, directing others, conflict management, informing, dealing with ambiguity, and building effective teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certifications: Required to have Professional Engineer registration or licensure, or willingness/ability to pursue such registration.
