Sr. Process Designer (Remote)

About the role

The Sr. Process Designer works with Engineers and Project Managers to prepare complete construction documents and assist during the construction support phase, acting as a primary technical contact on projects. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing proposals and required drafting fees
• Understanding and conveying scope, schedules, and end-product needs to the internal project team
• Layout plans, sections, and details to specified VAA/client CAD standards, working directly with engineers and project managers
• Reviewing project documents for coordination with all disciplines to avoid and resolve conflicts
• Participating in internal and client coordination meetings
• Designing and laying out preliminary concepts and accurately communicating the content
• Preparing and editing specifications, coordinating with drawings, and reviewing shop drawings
• Communicating with clients and contractors regarding RFIs and field questions
• Supporting the project team in nurturing client relationships
• Providing direction and distributing work to technicians, designers, and engineers
• Mentoring and training technical staff to produce high-quality design services and deliverables
• Performing quality control reviews
• Performing site visits as needed

Requirements

• Certificate in construction-related design/drafting or higher and at least 8 years of directly related experience, OR
• At least 9 years of directly related experience in lieu of a certificate

Pay

Starting hourly range: $37.00 - $60.00. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer, including but not limited to market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
