About the role

This role sits at the core of our venture and AI strategy efforts, sourcing and evaluating investments, guiding strategic initiatives, and connecting insights from the AI ecosystem to executive decision-making. It is both analytical and highly collaborative, requiring strong judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate venture investments across Seed, Series A, and Series B, owning deal flow through diligence and execution
- Drive alignment and execution of AI/ML initiatives across the company, including Generative AI and physical AI
- Maintain relationships with portfolio companies and ensure alignment with Micron’s investment strategy
- Develop executive-level briefings and recommendations for leadership, the Board, and the Investment Committee
- Mentor team members and partner cross-functionally with business and technology stakeholders
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related field and MBA from a Tier 1 university
- Experience in venture capital, startups, or senior operating roles, including deal sourcing and investment processes
- Strong financial acumen with technical depth in at least one relevant AI or semiconductor-related domain
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and delivering clear, data-backed recommendations
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley venture ecosystem
- Background in data center hardware systems and/or data center software
- Experience at a Tier 1 consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG)
- Domain expertise in areas such as physical AI, autonomous vehicles, manufacturing, or data center systems/software
- International education or work experience and exposure to global business environments
Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $196,000.00 - $344,000.00 a year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
