About the role

Sr. Principal Software Engineer developing battle management software for the GMD Weapon System missile defense program. Focuses on threat scene evaluation, complex algorithms, and code modernization using Ada, C++, Java, MATLAB, and Python on Unix/Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex algorithms for threat scene evaluation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions
• Contribute to code modernization efforts within the project
• Perform peer code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering
• Experience with Ada, C++, Java, MATLAB, and Python on Unix/Linux
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree preferred
