Sr. Principal Software Engineer
Essential Functions
The DevOps Engineer will responsible for designing and managing the Cloud infrastructure. Duties include deploying product updates, setting up software factory, virtual machines, containers, and orchestration. The role will have a large impact on team productivity and as such requires an understanding of the software development lifecycle and various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience;
- OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience;
- OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Active Directory, ePO Trellix, & ACAS scanning tools
- Any Cloud Service Provider Certification (e.g. AZ-900, AZ-104, AWS Cloud Practitioner, etc)
- Security+ Certification
- Terraform Associate Certification
- Familiarity with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo etc..)
- Familiarity with Agile software development process
- Experience hardening systems to DoD STIG standards
- Familiarity with HyperV environments

Pay
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
