About the Role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is a trusted provider of mission-enabling solutions for global security. This position is based out of Baltimore, MD and requires U.S. citizenship. A U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and SAP (Special Access Programs) eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy.
  • Act as the primary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities.
  • Lead program review sessions with internal and external customers to discuss operational aspects of technical, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Oversee and manage product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities.
  • Assess project and technical issues and develop action plans to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and intervene to solve problems with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customers.
  • Coordinate and lead the preparation of proposals, including manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications.
  • Create master production schedules and coordinate material planning and production scheduling through product delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement by mitigating risks and realizing opportunities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline; or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in these fields.
  • Experience with project leadership and/or process improvement.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Proposal Preparation, and/or Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development.
  • Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demands.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities.
  • Experience leading people and/or projects directly or indirectly.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and SAP (Special Access Programs).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active/Current U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management.
  • Experience communicating with executive leadership (Director or VP level).
  • Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
