Sr Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Secret Clearance) - 19171

About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will coordinate with suppliers, review designs, and integrate with other NG integrated product teams to ensure adherence to and implementation of requirements. They will actively participate in design reviews, design release, research, plan, design, and develop mechanical products and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance at time of application
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) clearance
• Experience performing mechanical design and release efforts on MILCON, major infrastructure/building projects, or Aerospace and Defense programs
• Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM or equivalent
• Proficient with 3D design/2D drawing CAD in NX or equivalent
• Ability to understand and interpret requirements
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills
• Exposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsion
• Proficient with GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00

Schedule

The standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
