Sr Principal Engineer

This Sr. Principal Engineer position is located onsite in Melbourne, FL (100% on‑site, no hybrid). Relocation assistance may be available. A Secret clearance is required for start, and the role involves approximately 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, quantify and influence logistics requirements to support the weapon system including spares, Support Equipment, technical data, training, facilities, and personnel
• Interface with vehicle engineering to influence designs for supportability
• Initiate and perform trade studies
• Perform detailed maintenance task analysis
• Determine overall weapon support system requirements for sustainment
• Represent Product Support in interaction with Design Engineering and IPT support
• Perform system engineering and integration tasks relating to Product Support IPTs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience OR Master’s degree in STEM and 6 years of experience OR PhD with 1 year of experience
• Experience with testability, troubleshooting, fault trees and/or FMECA
• Ability to transfer and maintain a final adjudicated US Government Secret clearance (and any required program accesses) within a reasonable period
• U.S. Citizenship (required for positions with a government clearance)

Qualifications

• Familiarity with MIL‑HDBK‑502
• Familiarity with GEIA‑0007 and relational databases
• 5 or more years of supportability engineering experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
• Active, in‑scope US Government Top Secret or SCI clearance
