About the role

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Portfolio Analyst, R&D to join our MedTech Innovation Enablement team. This role is based in New Brunswick, New Jersey, with alternate locations in Raynham, NJ, Cincinnati, OH, Raritan, NJ, and Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Drive organizational change from manual, siloed activities to an interconnected toolset (Planisware, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.), supporting roadmap prioritization, user-acceptance testing and roll-out of new features that save time and cost.
  • Maintain the end-to-end portfolio data model and refresh pipeline; build and maintain self-service dashboards in Power BI; provide training and tier-1 support to cross-functional users.
  • Collect and consolidate portfolio data for monthly KPI reporting; ensure information is current, accurate and aligned with business unit leaders across the sector.
  • Consolidate the MedTech R&D portfolio. Deliver eNPV, IRR, scenario and capacity models that guide executive investment decisions.
  • Analyze MedTech competitors, industry trends and internal performance data to craft talking points for various stakeholders.
  • Travel - Up to 10% domestic or international travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Finance, Business Analytics, or related field required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in portfolio management, R&D finance, PMO, or strategy within MedTech, Pharma, or healthcare industry required.
  • Advanced Excel, Power Point, and strong Power BI capability required.
  • Proven ability to translate complex analytics into clear, executive-ready narratives required.
  • Excellent storytelling and influencing skills; comfortable interacting with senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • Master’s/MBA, PMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Planisware, or similar PPM platforms.
  • Familiarity with Stage-Gate, Agile, and Design-to-Value methodologies.
  • Experience using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools.
  • Experience leading cross-functional change-management initiatives.
  • Knowledge of global medical-device competitive and regulatory landscapes.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $94,000.00 - $151,800.00.

Schedule

Full-time position with up to 10% domestic or international travel.
