Sr. PM - SR Ops , Global Procurement Sustainability

As Sr. Project Manager, you will work under the leadership of the SR (Social Responsibility) Operations Lead, within the Global Procurement Sustainability (GPS) team, closely with Amazon’s Social Responsibility team and the Global Procurement Organization to implement mechanisms to meet Amazon’s human rights principles and Supply Chain Standards and to ensure our suppliers are compliant with those.

Responsibilities

• Lead Audit risk assessment activities across Global Operations suppliers.
• Meet with senior leaders to understand the business and leverage multiple sources of business data to assess human right risks.
• Sponsor and oversee a portfolio of audits, helping to scope, plan, and execute high-quality Audits and remediation plans that address the highest risks.
• Insist on the highest standards for your team and your audits; dive deep into every audit area, apply broad technical knowledge, sound business judgment, and partner with key stakeholders.
• Guide your team in:
  • Working across GPO, collaborating with external partners and internal business partners (Operations, HRSI, Sustainability, Legal, and Risk Management) to identify and assess regulatory and human rights compliance risks related to our supplier baseline.
  • Reviewing new and existing suppliers (legacy) to ensure they meet Human Rights compliance, safety, and terms of service standards; investigate suspicious suppliers/driver activity and behaviors that could pose a risk to Amazon, our customers, or others.
  • Driving cross-functional assessments of risks and controls to align with company strategy and risk appetite.
  • Assessing real situations—sometimes with limited information—to make independent decisions about suppliers’ integrity and compliance standards.
  • Drafting responses to high-priority and critical issues in partnership with WW OPs and HRSI team.
  • Handling day-to-day issues while constantly thinking about how to invent and simplify to improve.
  • Engaging with vendors during the Audit Process, re-establishing expectations around their roles and responsibilities.
  • Defining and executing standard communication pathways for all vendors and identifying escalation procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of supply chain experience.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a procurement organization performing vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and bidding.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in project or program management.
• Experience in procurement, budgeting, forecasting, or asset management.
• Experience in people management and team development.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.
• Knowledge of collecting data from log files, data stores, SQL, and APIs.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
• Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
• 12+ years of public policy, government relations, community relations, public affairs, or corporate social responsibility experience.
• Experience in an HR, privacy, legal, compliance, or risk management role.
• Experience in project and program management.
• Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives, and cross-functional teams.

Pay

• USA, TN, Nashville: $103,900.00 - $148,400.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Houston: $115,400.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington: $115,400.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
