Global Procurement - PMO Specialist

About the Role
As a Global Procurement – PMO Specialist, you will provide project management leadership for assigned 3M Business Groups (BG), Category Pillars, and projects. You’ll drive alignment with Enterprise Supply Chain strategies and engage with global procurement leaders to achieve 3M’s productivity goals. This role involves direct interaction with stakeholders in Lab, R&D, Operations, and Enterprise Supply Chain to accelerate productivity projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide Project Management Office (PMO) leadership to ensure alignment with Enterprise Supply Chain strategies.
- Engage with 3M Business supply chain leaders and global Procurement category leaders to achieve productivity goals.
- Collaborate with sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure achievement of program goals, including cost savings projects.
- Create detailed project plans with key deliverables and milestones.
- Apply project management best practices and develop new methods and tools as needed.
- Work across organizational boundaries and influence others to achieve project goals.
- Develop and manage an effective pipeline management cadence to track cost savings.
- Lead Procurement metrics reviews (e.g., Bi-Weekly Pipeline Review, Stage Gate).
- Facilitate hopper filling and gap-filling sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support category teams in driving key KPIs around cost through pipeline development and reporting.
- Incorporate change leadership to ensure stakeholders adopt necessary program changes.
- Drive process improvement projects related to savings pipeline processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
- Six (6) years of combined experience in Procurement, Project Management, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Skills
- Experience in Raw Material, Outsource Manufacturing, or Indirect Procurement Category Management within manufacturing-based companies.
- Strong data analysis, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
- Initiative and self-starter with a positive, proactive approach.
- Experience successfully collaborating with internal/external stakeholders on complex projects.
- Process improvement and project management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Schedule
This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN. Travel may include up to 5% domestic/international.
Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $124,127 - $151,710, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The specific compensation offered may vary based on factors such as relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and experience.
