Essential Responsibilities
- Independently perform the daily tasks required to efficiently manage client service which includes renewal marketing and placement of insurance for assigned clients as well as responding to daily client service needs.
- Prepare, market new and define renewal business in conjunction with designated sales team.
- Maintain an organized marketing file utilizing appropriate software that provides Placement Specialist with clear and accurate information to ensure a smooth issuance, including a written order letter with all changes noted.
- Provide answers, solutions, or direction to questions or concerns by sales team, service team, clients and underwriters in a courteous and timely manner.
- Compare requested coverage to the coverage quoted by carriers. Provide notes to Placement Executives for further negotiation and discussion with carriers.
- Schedules and leads client meetings. Presents turnover meeting materials to service team.
- Sets up new clients in the agency management system (AMS) and other appropriate software. Inputs policy information in AMS for smooth transition to the Client Experience Team.
- Provides answers, solutions, or direction to questions or concerns by sales team, service team, prospects and underwriters in a courteous and timely manner.
- Requests and monitors process for the loss summary and experience mod forecast report gets completed.
- Compares exposure schedules to quotes.
- Mentors Placement Specialists and Consultants.
- Captures and processes ART Assessments.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years’ experience preferred in commercial agency or company underwriting performing insurance placement responsibilities.
- Licensing: Ability to obtain state-specific license within three months of employment and maintain license in the state of residence or office location by attending continuing education. Insurance Designation (ARM, CPCU, CRM, etc.) required.
- Technical Competencies: Invests in understanding and applying insurance principles to consult with clients and meet their strategic needs. Actively contributes to workflows, processes, and deliverables, using agency systems to provide a world-class client experience and ensure compliance. Understands prospect operations, prioritizes information, manages status, and delivers impactful solutions.
