About the role

We are looking to add a Placement Consultant to join our Property Casualty team in Madison, WI. Our company offers a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant culture, along with the opportunity to share your unique potential.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform daily tasks to efficiently manage client service, including renewal marketing and placement of insurance for assigned clients.
  • Respond to daily client service needs.
  • Develop applications from raw data, such as current policies or specifications and information available on the internet.
  • Create and set up loss histories using Excel software from gathered information.
  • Run building valuations.
  • Set up new clients in the agency management system (AMS) and other appropriate software.
  • Input policy information in AMS for smooth transition to the Client Experience Team.
  • Request and monitor the process for the loss summary and experience mod forecast report.
  • Compare requested coverage to the coverage quoted by carriers for further negotiation and discussion with underwriters.
  • Schedule and lead client meetings.
  • Present turnover meeting materials to the service team.
  • Provide answers, solutions, or direction to questions or concerns from the sales team, service team, prospects, and underwriters in a courteous and timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry; experience in an agency setting preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a state-specific insurance license within three months of employment and maintain it through continuing education.
  • Expectation to obtain at least one Insurance Designation (ARM, CPCU, CRM, etc.).

  • Actively contributes to workflows, processes, and deliverables using agency systems to provide a world-class client experience and ensure compliance.
  • Understands prospect operations, prioritizes information, manages status, and delivers impactful solutions.
