About the Role

The Sr. Permitting Coordinator works with the project team in processing permits for various projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a professional architectural/engineering firm
  • Government affairs experience
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiating skills
  • Understanding of architecture/engineering and building construction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to persuasively speak before large groups
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships internally and externally
  • Self-starter with the ability to organize and implement several concurrent projects
  • Sound judgment in prioritizing tasks
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Create and review Due Diligence Reports and Site Investigation Reports (SIR)
  • Process permits, projects, reports, and correspondences with regulatory agencies at the local, state, and federal level
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are documented and adhere to regulations
  • File reports and letters with regulatory agencies
  • Address questions and correspondences related to specific permits and projects
  • Meet with clients regarding permit process issues
  • Create reports to comply with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies
  • Collect and review all plans, permits, and reports before submission to agencies
  • Represent the company in in-house and external meetings with agencies, vendors, clients, and industry personnel
  • Attend meetings with agencies to expedite the permit process
  • Assist in site visits for pre-application meetings and SIRs
  • Prioritize projects based on timeline and budget

  • Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Able to handle stressful situations and multitask
  • Able to work under time constraints and extended hours as needed
  • Ability to lift and carry up to forty pounds

Work Environment

  • Work in a normal office environment
  • May be required to work outside of a normal office from time to time
  • Handle stressful situations, multitasking, and meet production schedules and budgets
