Sr People Systems Analyst, Workday
About the role
The pay range for this position is $97,552.00 - $156,083.00 per year. Typical new hire salaries fall within the minimum to midpoint of this range, based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Supports in the optimization of HRIS systems, with a primary focus on Workday, through continuous process improvement, automation, or other system enhancements to deliver an excellent and efficient end-user experience.
- Supports various system modules and integrations, supports semi-annual upgrade processes, and deploys new functionality as approved.
- Collaborates across departments, serving as a key liaison between users and People Systems & Analytics.
- PARTNERS WITH LEAD PEOPLE SYSTEMS ANALYST TO ENSURE SEAMLESS ENHANCEMENTS AND INTEGRATION OF NEW WORKDAY FEATURES.
- CONFIGURES, ADMINISTERS, AND ADJUSTS BUSINESS PROCESS STEPS TO ENSURE ACCURATE AND TIMELY COMPLETION OF TRANSACTIONS.
- Maintains configurable Workday security groups; including role-based, user-based, segmented, and rule-based groups.
- PROVIDES SUPPORT AND FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF REQUIREMENTS FOR THIRD-PARTY AND INTERNAL INTEGRATIONS.
- SERVES AS A CONDUIT BETWEEN USERS AND PEOPLE SYSTEMS AND ANALYTICS, FOSTERING BEST PRACTICE DISCUSSIONS AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS.
- COLLABORATES WITH IMPACTED AREAS ON BI-SEMIANNUAL WORKDAY RELEASES.
- USES CUSTOMER CENTRAL AND OTHER WORKDAY TOOLS TO Synchronize data and assists in deploying configurations between tenants.
- DRAFTS TEST PLANS AND USER ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA.
- Supports new Workday features and functions.
- PARTNERS WITH INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS IN A JOURNEY OF CONTINUOUS IMPLEMENTATION, OPTIMIZATION, AND ADOPTION.
- MAINTAINS DATA INTEGRITY WITHIN THE WORKDAY ECOSYSTEM BY COMPLETING REOCURRENT AUDITS AND DATA VALIDATION THAT PROMOTE ACCURACY AND COMPLIANCE.
- COLLABORATES WITH INTERNAL/EXTERNAL AUDORS OR OTHER STAKEHOLDERS TO PERFORM FUNCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY AUDITS.
- ASSISTS TEAMS WITH THE CONFIGURATION AND SUPPORT OF ANNUAL PROGRAMS.
- APPROPRIATELY ESCALATES SERVICE REQUESTS THAT REQUIRE HIGHER LEVELS OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT.
- CONFIGURES MASS DATA CHANGE TEMPLATES VIA ENTERPRISE INTERFACE BUILDER (EIB).
- PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT FOR INCOMING QUERIES AND ISSUES RELATED TO WORKDAY.
- SUPPORTS TEAMMEMBERS AND ADVISES ON BEST PRACTICES AND PROBLEM RESOLUTION.
- STAYS UP TO DATE WITH THE EXTERNAL TECHNOLOGY LANDSCAPE BY PARTICIPATING IN WORKDAY COMMUNITY AND OTHER FORUMS TO IDENTIFY NEW AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES, AS WELL AS OPPORTUNITIES FOR AUTOMATION AND TECHNOLOGY OPTIMIZATION TO IMPROVE OVERALL USABILITY OF THE SYSTEM.
- CREATES AND MAINTAINS HRIS DOCUMENTATION - INCLUDING JOB AIDS FOR TEAMMEMBERS, SOPS FOR ADMINISTRATIVE USERS, ETC.
- CREATES COMPLEX CALCULATED FIELDS FOR USE IN REPORTING AND INTEGRATIONS.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience is required.
- 5-7 years of prior relevant experience is required.
- A Workday Pro Certification in relevant areas is required.
- Experience managing large-scale HR technology system administration with specific experience in Workday HCM and other modules such as Integrations, Compensation, Talent Management & Skills, Recruiting, Learning, and AI agents is required.
- A strong understanding of Workday design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools is required.
- Proven project management capabilities including planning, organizational skills, effective time management and a growth mindset is required.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL and ability to execute basic data extractions is preferred.
- Skilled in facilitating Workday system enhancements, leading implementation projects, orchestrating successful system go-lives, and providing comprehensive technical support thereafter is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and remain agile in a challenging environment is required.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical capabilities are required.
- A demonstrated ability to handle confidential data with a high degree of accuracy is required.
Skills
