Sr Payroll Analyst
About the role
The Sr Payroll Analyst will manage the full payroll cycle, administer multi-state payroll operations, research and apply payroll regulations, investigate and resolve payroll issues, collaborate with IT on system upgrades, and support internal and external audits.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full payroll cycle, including timekeeping, payroll processing, and payment distribution, while reviewing and verifying payroll data for accuracy.
- Administer multi-state payroll operations by validating and processing local, city, state, and federal payroll withholdings and taxes, and completing payroll tax registrations as required to maintain compliance.
- Research and apply payroll regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and conduct regular payroll audits to identify, investigate, and resolve payroll errors or discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve payroll issues, including issues with timekeeping, deductions, and benefits.
- Act as a subject matter expert for payroll related inquiries from other departments.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll issues and assist with resolution.
- Collaborate with IT on system upgrades and implementations related to payroll processing.
- Maintain and update payroll systems, including data entry, system configuration, and testing updates.
- Work independently with exceptional time management skills.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements for payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- 5+ years full-cycle payroll experience.
- Expertise in payroll software applications (e.g., ADP Global View, SAP/Oracle HCM).
- Proficiency in MS Office Microsoft Excel--generating spreadsheets, creating formulas, analyzing and interpreting data.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
You must have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. You must also have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
Payroll Certifications: CPP, FPC, NACPB.

Pay
The typical hiring salary for this role, ranges from USD $38.03 to $64.75 per hour but varies by specific work location. Within a range, Resideo determines base pay for an individual based on various factors, including market conditions, skills, and experience.
