Responsibilities
- Provide primary support to management for the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of a comprehensive and effective paint and powder coatings operations.
- Review Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO quality standards.
- Provide technical support for painting and coating automated production lines, including color, gloss, and chemical substance management.
- Identify and implement process line and field defect analysis and improvements.
- Review quality rejects from the line and identify improvement plans.
- Collect and analyze production samples to evaluate field quality.
- Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretations to production management or staff.
- Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, and quality trends for paint coatings.
- Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, and contractors.
- Train Paint Operators on equipment and processes.
- Assist Paint Operators in diagnosing mechanical problems and determining corrective actions.
- Identify training and development needs through regular conversation and observation.
- Assist in the development and update of Paint training manuals.
Requirements
- Must possess 5 years of experience in Paint Quality Assurance or a related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with:
- Powder coatings for home appliance manufacturing
- Automatic painting robots
- Electrostatic spray coating systems
- Powder paint and powder coatings production line management
- Field quality issue analysis and management
- Paint defect analysis
- EHS and chemical safety management
Pay
$100,000 per year
Schedule
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
