About the Role
SiaX is looking for a Sr. Paid Search & Paid Social Strategist to lead the strategy and hands-on execution of high-performance paid media campaigns across search and social. You’ll own two connected ecosystems: paid search (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and app store environments) and paid social (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms). This is an execution-focused role as much as a strategic one, requiring you to move beyond basic keyword management to implement advanced smart bidding, automation, and data-driven testing that directly fuels client growth.
This role goes beyond channel execution; it requires critical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to connect paid media performance directly to business growth. You’ll partner closely with Growth, Creative, Analytics, and Account teams to ensure campaigns are not just optimized but continuously evolving through innovation, A/B testing, and strategic foresight.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth (search-led): Lead the strategy and execution of paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads as the primary channel of ownership, aligning media investment with client business goals and full-funnel performance. Extend and complement search strategy with paid social on Meta, Reddit, LinkedIn, or other relevant platforms.
- Keyword research and query mapping: Independently identify, size, and validate keyword opportunities using platform and third-party keyword tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner, Microsoft Advertising Intelligence, SEMrush, Ahrefs). Build granular keyword architectures and query mapping strategies aligned with client business goals, seasonal demand, and awareness or ecommerce objectives.
- Planning: Plan, build, and manage SEM (and complementary paid social) media plans based on growth forecasts to hit goals/KPIs set by the client, building full-funnel search roadmaps.
- Optimization: Build and manage granular campaign structures, including keyword segmentation, ad copy testing, and bidding strategy, to maximize efficiency and return on spend.
- Automation: Collaborate with Ad Tech and Product teams to implement smart bidding strategies, feed-based automations, and scripts that scale performance and reduce manual optimization.
- Conversion tracking: Own the end-to-end process from implementation of tags/conversion events to troubleshooting, ensuring data integrity through clean tagging, conversion tracking, and attribution modeling across GA4, GTM, and CRM integrations.
- Performance reporting: Independently build and maintain dashboard-based status and performance reporting (e.g., Looker Studio, native platform reporting, Supermetrics) as the source of truth for client-facing numbers. Serve as the primary strategic voice for paid search performance, transforming complex campaign data into clear, executive-level narratives.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work alongside Creative, SEO, Analytics, and Account teams to ensure paid search efforts complement broader digital marketing initiatives, including paid social.
- Continuous innovation: Stay ahead of algorithm updates, automation advancements, and beta opportunities across Google, Microsoft, and Meta, with an eye on emerging opportunities across Reddit, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
What Success Looks Like
- Campaigns consistently exceed KPIs for ROI, CPA, and conversion volume across Google and Microsoft ecosystems, with paid social on Meta (and Reddit, LinkedIn, or other platforms where applicable) performing as an effective complement.
- Keyword coverage and search volume estimates are built and validated using platform and keyword research tools; expansion recommendations are backed by verified, tool-sourced search volume.
- Budget pacing, bid automation, and targeting frameworks operate seamlessly, maintaining efficiency and accuracy at scale.
- Conversion tracking and reporting deliver clear, actionable insights tied directly to business outcomes, sourced from dashboards this person builds and owns.
- Search strategies evolve continually through structured testing, data analysis, and platform innovation.
- Clients and internal stakeholders view you as a trusted advisor who connects media performance to real business growth.
- Documentation, testing roadmaps, and optimization playbooks establish replicable best practices for the broader team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing paid search campaigns, ideally within an agency or performance marketing environment; paid search is the core, must-have skill for this role.
- Deep, hands-on platform expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Meta; working knowledge of Reddit, LinkedIn, and other paid social platforms is preferred.
- Demonstrated hands-on fluency with keyword research and volume tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner, Microsoft Advertising Intelligence, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to independently size and validate keyword opportunities.
- Experience independently building and maintaining client-facing dashboard reporting (e.g., Looker Studio, Supermetrics, native platform reporting).
- Strong understanding of keyword architecture, query mapping, bidding models, and conversion tracking.
- Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar paid search budgets with accountability for CPA, ROAS, and ROI performance.
- Experience with app-install or in-app search campaigns (e.g., Apple Search Ads, Google UAC) is a plus.
- Proficiency in automation tools and scripts (e.g., SA360, Skai, Marin, or in-house API-based solutions).
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate campaign data into meaningful insights and business recommendations.
- Experience designing and executing A/B tests across ad copy, landing pages, and bidding strategies.
- Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, attribution modeling, and feed-based automation.
