About the role
First Hawaiian Bank is seeking an experienced Sr. Operations Specialist/Officer to join our Commercial Real Estate Team.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary).
Pay
The annual salary range for this role is $47,500–$80,000.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for delivering a complete, accurate loan documentation and closing package in coordination with the CRED Loan Officer and under the guidance of the Team Leader or Operations Officer.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures while delivering superior customer service to internal and external clients.
- Review and prepare construction draw requests for approval and disbursement of loan proceeds.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in business, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in Commercial Banking operations and support with a strong focus on loan operations, particularly commercial real estate and construction lending.
- 2 years of commercial loan documentation experience.
- Working knowledge/understanding of basic compliance rules and regulations, basic mortgage documents, Intermediate Loan Agreements, Lien Laws, Legal Terminology, Escrow, Certificates of Insurance, Contracts, and basic accounting.
- Sound knowledge of Bank's CIP, BSA, and AML policies and procedures.
- State of Hawaii notary license.
