Amyx is seeking to hire a Sr. Business Operations Specialist to support our client DHA in Falls Church, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide or coordinate support for the Business Operations Division (BOD), which delivers innovative acquisition support and business solutions to positively influence the quadruple aim: increased readiness, better health, better care, and lower costs. BOD is organized into work streams including:
    • Acquisition-related Business Operations
    • Performance Monitoring/Reporting

    • Information Management

  • Support strategic/operational planning, business process management, policy coordination, interpretation and dissemination, training, and related long-term activities.
  • Plan and drive organizational communication through various vehicles to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Produce, maintain, and publish routine reports and publications for use within the DAD-A / DHACA.
  • Support DAD-A Action Group activities and taskings; interface with DHA Director’s Action Group (DAG) as required.
  • Translate DAD-A’s intent/objectives into actionable initiatives.
  • Analyze data and communicate findings through Action Group products such as Strategic Communications, Strategic Engagements, and Strategic Initiatives.
  • Serve as an action officer for incoming and outgoing actions/taskers, providing continuous oversight for unique requirements.
  • Receive and analyze staff actions from USD P&R and DHA.
  • Produce executive communication products including briefings, talking points, scripts, and notes.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods to collect, validate, analyze, and display data to aid decision-making across organizational levels.
  • Develop and implement methods to monitor, evaluate, forecast, and report progress toward organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop explorative and innovative solutions to advance DAD-A’s initiatives and address strategic issues affecting DHA.
  • Review and analyze incoming staff actions and decision correspondence; assign actions to appropriate staff elements based on content analysis.
  • Monitor and track priority of actions based on sensitivity, suspense dates, and other pertinent data.
  • Compose and/or review correspondence for coordination of actions/taskers.
  • Utilize strong oral and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders; adjudicate comments and recommendations as needed.
  • Provide support as the Facilities Liaison for DAD-A / DHACA, including facility and space management.
  • Produce fully actionable Requirements Development packages for competitive contracts.
  • Experience with the Enterprise Task Management System (ETMS2) or similar systems.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree.
  • At least 8 years of related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge in strategic/operational planning, business process management, business operations, policy coordination, interpretation and dissemination, training, task management, information management, facility and space management, and related activities.
  • Executive-level writing experience or training to produce, maintain, and publish a variety of ad hoc and routine reports and publications.
  • Knowledge of DoD Manpower and resource planning is extremely helpful.

Pay

$85,000–$105,000.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods, reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing written recommendations, summaries, and/or reports.
  • Effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
