Sr Operations Quality Manager

About the role

The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent quality across Processes/Branches/Programs/Customers by developing and implementing solid & standardized practices and systems, validating those processes, and maintaining core KPIs. This role identifies and drives operational process improvements by resolving complex issues and measures and drives the performance of customer programs, including key performance metrics, production, quality, and customer communication. The position involves formal presentations on process improvements and overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Determine a baseline of operational performance and drive the development and execution of operational excellence plans.
• Monitor project performance to meet customer requirements and expectations.
• Conduct and lead internal and external meetings, interfacing with customers.
• Issue regular reports on program performance and improvements.
• Coordinate work of various functional groups such as Operations, IT, Quality, and Billing as it relates to improvement plans.
• Identify process and product deficiencies and propose & implement improvements.
• Lead and perform root cause investigations, defining and driving corrective/preventive actions.
• Implement and maintain a Quality Management System that meets customer and registration system requirements.
• Communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization and with external auditors/customers.
• Work with the Program Management team, local Quality teams, and the customer to resolve customer issues in a timely manner via a customer-defined escalation process.
• Conduct regular meetings with Quality and Operations/Business managers to continuously address areas of improvement.
• Perform other Quality Manager duties as needed.
• Travel up to 30%.

Requirements

• Six Sigma Green Belt required; LEAN experience preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of warehouse operations management experience, preferably in a Manufacturing/Distribution/Warehouse environment where value-added electronics testing is performed.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Six Sigma experience.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently but must be a team player.
• Expert in root cause analysis to drive problem-solving closure.
• Strong documentation best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create and deliver presentations.
• Ability to motivate production/quality performances.
• Must be flexible in work duties and schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO Lead Auditor Certification.
• Experience in the Telecommunications and/or Cable Industries.
