Sr Operational Planner

Responsibilities

• Schedule, plan, and develop content for the SPP Annual Workshop in compliance with DoD Conference Guidance and Chief National Guard Bureau Instructions.
• Attend the SPP Annual Workshop to provide support, present briefings, maintain situational awareness, and establish contacts with SPPDs and other State personnel.
• Prepare the Draft SPP Annual Workshop Request Memorandum in Microsoft Word, submitting it to the designated Government representative 190 calendar days prior to the workshop.
• Outline the workshop plan and rationale for the meeting site in the Draft SPP Annual Workshop Request Memorandum.
• Conduct market research and cost analysis for potential locations, compiling data in the Market Research Logistical Report in Microsoft Word by September 15th each year.
• Submit the Market Research Logistical Report for approval and update it within one business day if the event location or date changes.
• Utilize the Market Research Logistical Report to create the Draft SPP Annual Workshop Staff Packet and submit the Workshop Plenary Slides to the designated Government representative for approval 30 calendar days prior to the SPP Annual Workshop.
• May be required to travel to the workshop location to present briefings to participants.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with the Nation Guard Bureau

Qualifications

• Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Skills

• Knowledge of DoD Conference Guidance and Chief National Guard Bureau Instructions
• Experience with Nation Guard Bureau operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to conduct market research and cost analysis
• Strong communication and presentation skills
