Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact to provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products and effectively communicate their clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, including ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with your District Manager.
- Sustain passion for Amgen’s products throughout the entire sales cycle while building the brand and keeping the focus on serving patients.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and maintain continuous learning to grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist.
- Leverage your passion for Oncology, disease state awareness, and industry/regulatory/competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (non-sales), or
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (non-sales), or
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field (non-sales).
Qualifications
- Preferred experience in Oncology.
- Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases, including knowledge of diseases and treatments in these specialties.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration (preferred).

Pay
The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $140,465 – $190,041. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
