Sr. Oncology Sales Specialist- S2 - (Hackensack, NJ)

About the role
The Oncology Sales Specialist / Senior Oncology Sales Specialist is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals through promoting Oncology therapeutic products within an assigned territory in a compliant and appropriate manner. This role represents and promotes assigned brand(s) in the oral markets with approved indications, helping targeted customers—such as Medical Oncologists, Hematologists, Endocrinologists, and nurses—learn about the efficacy and safety of Eisai’s product(s) consistent with FDA-approved labeling. The position involves working with office management to provide informational resources, building relationships with key personnel, and understanding managed markets to ensure product access. Key activities include territory and market analysis, strategic business planning, execution of plans, and collaboration with internal cross-functional partners to drive aligned, compliant efforts.

Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed Oncology sales goals for an assigned territory by promoting therapeutic products in a compliant and appropriate manner.
- Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional teams to develop and implement territory business strategies and drive pull-through sales within Integrated Delivery Networks.
- Conduct ongoing territory and market analysis to monitor customer needs, preferences, and local market dynamics.
- Identify, build relationships with, and influence prescribers and decision-makers by understanding issues and opportunities in the territory.
- Deliver clinical, efficacy, and safety messaging, as well as information about product access and safe administration, to relevant customer stakeholders in a compliant way.
- Monitor operating costs and compliance with the territory budget.
- Seek mentorship to learn and build key sales skills.
- Collaborate with internal partners, including Oncology Thought Leader Liaisons and Oncology Field Reimbursement Managers, to facilitate aligned efforts with customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- For Oncology Sales Specialist: Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in specialty sales (device sales or related therapeutic area; Oncology sales experience preferred).
- For Senior Oncology Sales Specialist: Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in specialty sales (Oncology sales experience highly preferred).
- Experience in hospital and large account sales, with a documented history of successful sales performance in a competitive environment (preferred).
- Experience working with customer business needs, disease states, product prescribing information, approved promotional clinical trials, patient access, and regulatory/compliance guidelines (preferred).
- Experience with account planning and management (preferred).
- Familiarity with key laws and regulations impacting the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., PhRMA Code, Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, OIG/DOJ Guidance, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and federal/state transparency and disclosure laws) (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key customers and others in the customer influence network (preferred).
- Experience in business analytics to understand and analyze business and market drivers (preferred).
- For Senior Oncology Sales Specialist: Proven track record in successfully managing/overseeing a sales portfolio within a territory and demonstrated success in planning/revising tactics to align with external trends and market opportunities.

Pay
The annual base salary range for the Sr. Oncology Sales Specialist (S2 - Hackensack, NJ) is $151,040–$198,200. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in the Eisai Inc. Sales Incentive Plan. Final pay determinations will depend on factors including experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
