Sr NPD Project Engineer
About the role
The Sr. NPD Project Engineer supports product realization through cross-functional team collaboration. They lead portions of the design process, assist other team members, and ensure project completion on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Develop schedules and coordinate low-complexity projects with minimal supervision.
- Prepare budgets and define resource needs for projects or parts of projects in their area of responsibility.
- Aid in completing Product Realization Stage Gate Requirements.
- Ensure projects meet specifications and standards, promoting error-proof assembly.
- Create and construct prototypes as needed during the development and approval process.
- Analyze designs of new products and subcomponents using engineering analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years progressive experience in Engineering design and/or development, including experience on highly technical and innovative projects.
- Experience with 3D parametric modeling, finite element modeling, and checking design feasibility in mechanical, thermal, and multi-physics environments.
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanism design, linkages, springs, statics, dynamics, and material properties.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing methods such as casting, machining, molding, stamping, and forming.
- Familiarity with the new product development Stage Gate Process.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with DFMEA and DOE.
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis.
- Ability to use small hand and power tools.
- ProE/Creo and Finite Element analysis experience preferred.
- History of creativity, innovation, and initiative.
- Experience in medium/high voltage electrical power systems and trip-free, stored energy or actuated mechanism design a plus.

Benefits
Typical pay range is $98,872 – 128,577 annually. Pay is based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications. This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program.
