Sr Mgr, Solutions Architecture, Small and Medium Businesses

About the role

The Sr. Manager, Solutions Architecture leads a team of Solutions Architects focusing on transforming how Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) adopt cloud, generative AI, and modern architectures. The role involves building and leading a high-performing team, coaching SAs, driving measurable adoption of AWS services, and serving as the voice of the customer back to AWS product teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer success in building, migrating, and modernizing applications onto the AWS platform, leveraging best practices, modern architectures, and generative AI and agentic patterns
• Formulate and execute a strategy to drive measurable customer outcomes and AWS adoption across the SMB segment, operating as a paired technical and commercial function alongside your sales counterparts
• Hire, onboard, train, and develop new Solutions Architects; build a high-performing team with depth across cloud architecture, modern application development, and generative AI
• Serve as the voice of the customer back to AWS service and product teams; surface field patterns from the SMB segment, identify gaps, and deliver feedback that shapes the product roadmap
• Produce and drive thought leadership through blogs, reference architectures, workshops, and conference sessions; guide and motivate your team to create high-value customer-facing content and best practices
• Build executive relationships with technical and business decision makers within customer accounts, establishing AWS as their trusted cloud advisor, and act as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support
• Define and track success metrics across team performance, customer adoption milestones, and field-to-product feedback impact; engage with AWS leadership to surface field insights and drive cross-organizational alignment

Qualifications

• 7+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
• Experience working directly with enterprise, start-up, or SMB accounts
• Experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope
• Experience managing joint GTM success with technology partners, including development and tracking of joint sell-with and sell-through business activities
• Experience using, developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
