About the role
Initiates, plans, executes, controls and manages all aspects of project(s) to ensure ultimate project success.
Responsibilities
- Develop a high-level milestone plan for the program and manage program change in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts
- Manage large scale to enterprise-wide projects
- Facilitate the creation and approval of business cases within the program, and coordinate the sharing and prioritization of resources among projects
- Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and communicate program status and data in order to maintain accurate and current program information for the use of stakeholders
- Obtain approval for the program and actively manage program benefits and issues in partnership with key stakeholders
- Establish and maintain program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications, both internal and external to the organization
- Own one or more Project Management Office (PMO) continuous improvement activities
- Identify and evaluate process improvement and/or course correction/course alignment opportunities
- Manage project closure activities, including gathering lessons learned and driving changes to future for continuous improvement
- Serve as a project and program management subject matter expert, including guiding and mentoring project managers, sourcing and directing contract resources tied to projects within the program, and develop expertise in a business process, professional discipline, market or product

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience managing projects and/or programs of increasing complexity or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria
- Master's Degree or equivalent or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria (preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
- Green Belt / Black Belt Scrum Master certification (preferred)
Skills
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management methodology
- Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management systems
- Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Recognized as an expert in own area within the organization
- Expert understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to managing multiple projects within an overall program
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent understanding and work experience with project budgets and financial management
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence change
- Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders
- Experience within a regulated environment
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
- Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
Schedule
This is an onsite position in Irvine, CA.
Pay
For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $139,000 to $196,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
