Sr. Mgr Corporate FP&A, Revenue Forecasting

About the role

The Finance Team at Thumbtack is seeking a Revenue and Contribution Manager to lead the financial planning and reporting processes for revenue and contribution margin. This role will involve preparing the monthly forecast, annual budget, and long-range plans, as well as variance commentary and business performance commentary. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of FP&A experience, strong financial modeling and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Leadership of revenue and contribution margin forecast and planning processes for Thumbtack, including process management, communication, and reporting
• Partnering with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, FP&A, and analytics teams to ensure timely and accurate revenue and contribution margin reporting, as well as forecasts and plans (annual and LRP)
• Analyzing and synthesizing financial results and communicating key messages to internal stakeholders
• Supporting the business in planning and developing team targets and OKRs
• Own and improve current systems, models, and processes to increase productivity and accuracy of the FP&A team and guide strategic decision-making on key revenue/margin drivers
• Managing frequent ad hoc projects to support management and business decisions

Requirements

This role requires a strong background in finance, specifically in revenue forecasting and financial analysis. Experience with financial modeling tools such as Excel and G-Suite is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Benefits

Thumbtack offers competitive compensation packages, including a range of $170,000 - $220,000 for candidates in all other US locations, $180,200 - $233,200 for candidates in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, and $199,800 - $258,500 for candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Pay

The expected salary range for the role is $170,000 - $220,000 for candidates in all other US locations, $180,200 - $233,200 for candidates in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, and $199,800 - $258,500 for candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros. Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
